Childhood Hunger Awareness campaign

No Food For You

Take the NoFood4You Challenge!*

Thousands of local school children in Lee County receive little to no food once they leave school on Friday until they return Monday. Parents have been seen digging through the school dumpsters after hours to find food for their families.

Help us raise awareness and funds for these hungry children.

ABC logoCommit to the NoFood4You weekend. We’re just asking you to try. Put yourself in these children’s shoes for one weekend and experience what they are facing year-round. PLEASE REGISTER FOR FREE BY ADDING YOUR NAME AND EMAIL TO THE FORM BELOW1.

Join our local NoFood4You team of community volunteers including News-Press reporter Francesca Donlan, ABC-7 anchor Len Jennings and more who will eat their last balanced meal with local school children at noon on Friday, April 24 and then attempt to go without another balanced meal until Monday a.m.

Can’t go without a balanced meal? Five dollars will feed a local child for a weekend. Consider donating to CCMI’s School Backpack Program, which was established in January to get food directly into the hands of these local hungry children and provide access to emergency groceries through CCMI’s mobile food pantry.
