We are very happy to announce the Board of Directors of Community Cooperative Ministries Inc. has appointed Tracey Galloway as our new Chief Executive Officer.
Since 2008, Tracey Galloway has served as Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations for Edison State College. In her 16-year career with the college she has served at all program, fundraising and leadership levels within the Foundation.
During her tenure with Edison State she was responsible for growing and leading a fundraising division that currently manages $45 million in assets and awards more than $2 million in annual scholarship and academic support. She will bring significant experience to CCMI including spearheading capital and fundraising campaigns, marketing and public relations, organizational leadership, operations and strategic planning. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Northwood University in West Palm Beach and a master's degree in business administration from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale and is a past president and current member of the Florida Council for Resource Development, a member of the National Council for Resource Development and a member of the board of directors for FineMark National Bank & Trust. Her community involvement also includes serving with the Junior League of Ft. Myers, the Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
Our current Board Chair, Sam Galloway, Jr., and Board Member Robert Galloway will both resign from the nonprofit's Board. Steve Shimp, retired company president and founder of Owen-Ames-Kimball Company, has been appointed as the new board chairman.
"I am delighted to be joining the CCMI team," says Galloway. "I look forward to working closely with the board, staff and our community to help build long-term, sustainable solutions that will move us closer to ending homelessness and hunger in our community."
Tracey Galloway will begin her new role as CEO for CCMI at the beginning of the year. We are looking forward to 2012 and to new opportunities for building positive change in our community.
